As I am currently going through the process of having a new bathroom installed myself, there are two ways of doing it as I see it.
The first way is to buy everything yourself and then have it fitted which can save you money and the second way is to get a quote from a bathroom shop to supply and fit the whole lot, which can be more expensive but is a whole lot easier.
The first way as I said can be cheaper if you are prepared to do the legwork. You can find some bargains on the internet such as bathscreens on BathScreens.org or showers and taps and get them delivered to your house for the bathroom fitter to install.
But you do have to have some idea of what you are doing to make sure that you order the correct items and that they actually fit together well in your bathroom and if you make even a tiny mistake it can be costly.
If you get a quote for the whole lot, the bathroom designer will provide you with a picture design of your new bathroom so that you can see how the finished room will look and he will co-ordinate the whole project from start to finish which means a whole lot less work for you.
